AMC has discontinued the Gold Pass which the DSC passed on to students for $8.00. Going forward the DSC will be selling the discounted Green Passes for $9.00.
The Green Passes have some perks:
- Good for ‘Special Engagement’ Films.
- Good for New Day Releases.
Unfortunately, they also come with a restriction: Green Passes cannot be used for films distributed by Disney, which includes Disney, LucasFilms, Marvel, and Pixar releases.
If you still have older AMC Silver or Gold Tickets, they will be honored without the Disney restriction when you exchange them for tickets at the box office.
Surcharges may still apply for 3D, IMAX®, ETX, alternative content, dine-in theatres, and premium services. See here for official rules and conditions.
REGAL
The DSC has begun selling Regal passes due to the popularity of the theaters and lack of AMC theaters outside of Manhattan. Regal passes are $8.50 and have no restrictions on use.
If you will be seeing a movie in a Manhattan Regal cinema or in a luxury recliner cinema, an additional $1.50 surcharge will be added when you exchange passes for tickets at the box office.
ANGELIKA
The DSC also has discounted movie tickets to The Angelika Film Center for $7.50.
