The Doctoral Students' Council operates under the following governance documents:
The Doctoral Students' Council is recognized under the Governance of the Graduate School and University Center as the official representative body of the graduate students, and by the Board of Trustees as the allocating body for Student Government Fees, subject to review by the College Association.
Meetings of the Doctoral Students' Council adhere to the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, and all applicable New York state laws, including the Open Meetings Law.
